Samir serves as BharCap’s Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to BharCap, Samir spent four years as chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Altpoint Capital Partners, with financial and operational responsibilities for its private equity, venture capital, incubator and digital asset hedge investment fund strategies.

Samir has over 2 decades of operating experience in private equity. His career path includes managing financial and operational responsibilities for private equity and debt funds for Veronis Suhler Stevenson. He was principal – client service and head of debt fund practice for Gen II Fund Services, where he provided outsourced chief financial officer and administrative services to emerging and established private equity fund managers. He also founded an outsourced chief financial officer consulting practice to service emerging private equity firms.

Samir holds a B.S. in Accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Global Management Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
